These events, which include guest speakers and visits to local sites and attractions, are free where possible or charged at the minimum rate to cover costs.

Guided walks

We like to organise guided walks in conjunction with a partner organisation. On most you will join members of the Civic Society to explore aspects of Alnwick’s heritage that are away from the main visitor hotspots, to discover how the town’s character was been shaped by early settlers, medieval conflict, powerful families, skilled trades, Georgian taste and Victorian innovation. If your organisation would like to join us, please <get in touch> to discuss how we might tailor the content to suite your areas of interest.
